Education lecturer collapses, dies while teaching in classroom

The Kogi State Polytechnic community has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of one of its lecturers, Anselm Ahman Victory Ojodomo.

According to reports, the incident happened on Thursday, March 26, 2026, while the lecturer was delivering a lecture to his students. He was said to have suddenly collapsed during the session, causing panic among those present.

He was immediately attended to and rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. However, despite efforts by medical personnel to save him, he sadly passed away.

 

News of his death has since gone viral, with students and colleagues taking to social media to mourn him. Many described him as a dedicated academic who was deeply committed to his work and students.

Several tributes highlighted his strength, wisdom, and passion for teaching, noting that his loss will be deeply felt within the institution.

As of the time of this report, the school management is yet to release an official statement on the incident.
