Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has won the Operational Excellence Award at the Energy Awards 2026 held during the 25th edition of NOG Energy Week in Abuja.

The award recognises companies that have demonstrated outstanding performance in operational efficiency, safety, reliability, cost management and sustainable business practices.

The award was presented at the NOG Energy Week, held from July 5 to 9 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja. The event brought together policymakers, regulators, investors and energy industry leaders to discuss the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.

Throughout the conference, NLNG participated in key industry discussions on gas development, operational excellence, sustainability, innovation and Nigeria’s role in the global energy market.

The company said the award reflects its commitment to maintaining world-class operational standards, promoting safety, driving continuous improvement and delivering value to stakeholders.

It also acknowledged the dedication of its workforce, whose efforts have enabled NLNG to consistently supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to international markets while supporting domestic gas utilisation and contributing to Nigeria’s economy through local content, revenue generation and strategic investments.

NLNG noted that as it continues work on its Train 7 Project and other growth initiatives, it remains committed to supporting Nigeria’s economic growth and energy transition through responsible gas development and operational excellence.

The company described the recognition as another milestone in its efforts to help unlock Nigeria’s vast natural gas potential and build a more sustainable energy future.
