Nigeria at 66: NERC reaffirms commitment to strengthening power sector

 

Abuja, Oct. 2026 (TBL Africa) The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the country’s power sector as the country celebrates its 66th Independence.

The commission said this in a goodwill message posted on its X handle in Abuja on Thursday to mark the anniversary.

It said that the commission remained focused on regulating a sustainable electricity sector capable of powering opportunities and supporting national development.

The commission congratulated Nigerians on the anniversary and called for continued commitment to the development of the country
