NCS Lilypond Export Command gets new Acting CAC
Lagos, Aug. 22026 (TBL Africa) The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Lilypond Export Command, has appointed Deputy Comptroller Olusola Salako as its Acting Customs Area Controller (CAC).
Salako assumed duty following the retirement of the command’s former CAC, Comptroller Samuel Ariyibi, at a formal handover ceremony.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Olushola Oke, and made available on Tuesday in Lagos.
At the ceremony, Ariyibi handed over the affairs of the command to Salako in line with the administrative procedures of the service.
The outgoing CAC expressed appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, the management, officers and stakeholders for their support during his tenure.
Ariyibi attributed the command’s achievements to teamwork, professionalism, discipline, dedication and effective collaboration among officers and stakeholders.
He urged officers and men to extend the same cooperation and commitment to the new leadership while sustaining the command’s operational standards and gains.
Ariyibi expressed confidence that the new administration would build on the existing foundation and further advance the mandate of the Lilypond Export Command.
In his response, Salako commended Ariyibi for his dedicated and meritorious service to the NCS and contributions to the growth and development of the command.
He pledged to provide purposeful, responsive and professional leadership, with emphasis on trade facilitation, regulatory compliance, anti-smuggling operations and effective stakeholder engagement.
Salako called for continued discipline, professionalism and collective responsibility among officers, while soliciting stakeholders’ cooperation to strengthen the command’s operational effectiveness.
He also pledged to enhance the command’s contribution to national economic development through effective service delivery and stakeholder collaboration.
The handover exercise formally marked the end of Ariyibi’s tenure as CAC and his retirement from the NCS.
