NAHCON Chairman receives NSCDC commandant general, reaffirms inter-agency cooperation

 

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CG Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, today paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, at the Commission’s headquarters, Hajj House, Abuja.

The visit provided an opportunity for both organisations to discuss ways of strengthening their existing collaboration, particularly in the areas of security, crowd management, pilgrim safety and effective coordination during Hajj operations.

The Commandant General commended the leadership of Ambassador Yusuf and the ongoing reforms being implemented by NAHCON to reposition the Nigerian Hajj industry. He also assured the Commission of the NSCDC’s continued support and cooperation.

Responding, the NAHCON Chairman expressed appreciation to the Commandant General for the visit and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to sustaining and further strengthening its partnership with the NSCDC in the interest of Nigerian pilgrims and the successful, safe and smooth conduct of future Hajj operations.

Mr. Shafii Sani Mohammed, Head, Information and Publications Division, NAHCON, stated that the engagement underscores the importance of sustained inter-agency cooperation in ensuring effective security coordination and improved pilgrim welfare during Hajj operations.
