Lagos State receives highest FAAC allocation of N365.78bn in last six months

Lagos, Aug.  2026 – Lagos State has emerged as the highest beneficiary of Federation Account allocations in the first half of 2026, receiving N365.78 billion.

This is based on the monthly allocations to states across the country by the Federal Account Allocation Committee in the first six months of 2026.

The Lagos State allocation in the first half of this year represents a 54.39 per cent increase over the amount it received in the same period in 2025.

Delta State came second with N331.43 billion allocation representing an increase of 10.49 per cent over the N299.96 billion it received in the same period in 2025.

Rivers State came third with N295.99 billion allocation during the first half of this year from N264.90 billion it received in the same period last year.

Akwa Ibom received N270.27 billion to place fourth against the N230.99 billion it received in the same period last year.

Bayelsa also received N266.72 billion allocation in the first half of this year, up from N229.56 billion it received in same period in 2025.

Kano State received N152.57 billion, while Oyo recorded N139.09 billion.

Ondo received N113.04 billion, Jigawa N111.61 billion and Borno N109.65 billion.
