Lagos ports receive 8 ships, await 44 arrivals
Lagos, April 2026 (TBL Africa) Eight ships have arrived at the Lekki, Tin-Can Island and Apapa ports in Lagos, awaiting discharge of petroleum products and other cargoes.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) disclosed this in its “Shipping Position” publication, made available on Friday in Lagos.
According to the document, the vessels are laden with petrol, diesel, fertiliser, gasoline and bulk stock.
The NPA also said that 44 ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports between April 10 and April 15.
It listed the expected cargoes to include buckwheat, containers, fresh fish, crude oil, bulk wheat, petrol, bulk salt, base oil, bulk gypsum, bulk urea, aviation fuel and general cargo.
25 other ships are currently discharging cargoes at the ports.
The cargoes being handled include containers, petrol, soya beans, crude oil, diplomatic cargo, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, fresh fish, diesel, aviation fuel and bulk urea.
