Easter: IBEDC assures improved power supply despite gas constraints

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC) has extended warm Easter greetings to its customers and Christians across the country, urging reflection on the enduring values of sacrifice, love and unity.

Mr. Deolu Ijose, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of IBEDC, made the call in a statement, where he also acknowledged the persistent power supply challenges currently affecting parts of its franchise areas.

Ijose attributed the disruptions to ongoing gas supply constraints, noting that the situation has impacted electricity generation nationwide.

He, however, assured customers that the company is working closely with critical stakeholders in the power value chain to improve supply and service delivery.

“We are mindful of the inconvenience this may cause, especially during the Easter period,” he said, adding that IBEDC has put in place proactive measures to ensure swift response to faults and minimise downtime throughout the holidays.

He further encouraged customers to take advantage of the company’s electronic payment platforms to settle bills and vend energy tokens seamlessly, thereby avoiding avoidable service interruptions.

The IBEDC chief also disclosed that the company’s offices will remain open during the holiday period, with customer support lines and digital channels fully operational to address enquiries and complaints.

He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering improved service and enhancing customer experience, while wishing Nigerians a peaceful and fulfilling Easter celebration.
