41 safe as passenger aircraft suffers tyre burst on landing
New Delhi, Aug. 2026 (Xinhua) All 41 persons on board a domestic passenger aircraft were safe after one of its tyres burst while landing at an airport in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh State, India.
An official of the Airports Authority of India confirmed the incident on Friday.
The official said the aircraft, operated by Alliance Air, had four crew members and 37 passengers on board.
According to the official, the aircraft’s left-side tyre bursted as soon as it landed at the airport.
He said all the occupants were safely evacuated from the aircraft.
The official added that the cause of the tyre burst had not yet been determined.
