Iranian missile strikes hit Tel Aviv area, 6 injured

Tel Aviv, March  2026 (dpa/) Iranian missile attacks struck multiple locations in the greater Tel Aviv area early on Thursday, injuring at least six people and causing damage to residential property, according to Israeli authorities.

The Israeli military said several waves of rockets were launched toward central Israel throughout the morning hours.

At least one strike hit the town of Kafr Qasim, located east of Tel Aviv.

Emergency service Magen David Adom reported that six people were wounded in the attack.

Medics arriving at the scene found a building with significant damage, with injuries largely caused by the blast wave.

The injured were treated at the scene before being transported to nearby hospitals.

Israeli officials said that the barrage was part of a broader escalation, with Iran launching at least seven waves of missiles toward Israel over the course of several hours.

Additional rocket fire targeting the Tel Aviv area was also reported overnight from both Iran and neighbouring Lebanon.

Air raid sirens sounded across wide parts of the country, including Jerusalem and northern regions, as emergency services responded to multiple reported impact sites.

The attacks mark a further intensification of hostilities in the region, raising concerns about a wider conflict and its potential aftereffects. (dpa)
