Falcon Corporation wins NGML award for over 20 years of gas industry partnership

Recognition highlights reliability, safety and operational excellence in Nigeria’s domestic gas distribution sector

Falcon Corporation Limited (FCL), an indigenous Nigerian gas distribution company, has received a Long Service Partnership Award from NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML) in recognition of more than two decades of collaboration, operational reliability and contributions to Nigeria’s gas industry.

The award, presented on October 14, 2026, acknowledges a longstanding relationship between the two companies, built on professionalism, accountability, safety and a shared commitment to expanding natural gas utilisation across the country.

According to a statement by Falcon Corporation, the recognition also builds on an earlier acknowledgement of the company by NGML as one of its leading customers, reflecting its sustained performance throughout the partnership.

Presenting the award on behalf of NGML’s Managing Director, Mr Declan Nwokoro, Engr. Peter Kwaji, Deputy Manager, Marketing and Market Expansion, South-West Zone/Region, said Falcon had remained a dependable partner for more than 20 years.

“For over two decades, Falcon Corporation has been a dependable and forward-looking partner. Their consistent performance, transparency, accountability, commitment to safety, professionalism, and dedication to growing gas utilisation has made them one of our leading and long-standing customers,” he said.

Kwaji said the award recognised a partnership that had delivered value to both organisations, expressing optimism about continued collaboration and growth.

Receiving the award on behalf of Falcon, its Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, described the recognition as a reflection of the commitment and cooperation between the two companies.

“We are deeply honoured by this recognition. No partnership endures for over 20 years without commitment on both sides, and we thank NGML for the support, confidence and collaboration that have helped our partnership and our business thrive,” she said.

Joe-Ezigbo added that the award belonged to both organisations and the employees whose dedication had sustained the relationship over the years.

She also emphasised the importance of natural gas to Nigeria’s industrial development, energy security and economic prosperity, describing Falcon’s investments and operations as a contribution to national development.

“At Falcon, we regard our gas footprint and investments as a national service first. Gas is central to Nigeria’s industrial growth, energy security and prosperity,” she said.

She reaffirmed the company’s commitment to working with NGML to expand gas utilisation and support the growth of Nigeria’s wider gas industry.

Founded in 1994, Falcon Corporation operates across Nigeria’s midstream and downstream energy sectors, developing gas infrastructure and supplying natural gas to industrial and commercial customers.

The company operates as a licensed local distribution company, supplying natural gas to customers in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Through its subsidiary, Optimera Energy LFZE, it is also extending its gas distribution footprint in the Lagos Free Zone.

Falcon has expanded into the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) segment through trading, distribution and infrastructure investments, including an LPG tank farm and jetty facility. The company says its operations are aimed at widening access to natural gas and supporting industrialisation and economic growth.

NGML, a subsidiary of NNPC Limited, is responsible for marketing and distributing natural gas to industrial, commercial and power-sector customers. The company plays a central role in promoting domestic gas utilisation and monetising Nigeria’s natural gas resources.

The award underscores the importance of sustained commercial partnerships in developing Nigeria’s gas market, where reliable supply, infrastructure investment and stronger collaboration among industry participants remain essential to expanding natural gas use.

Falcon expressed appreciation to NGML and other stakeholders who had contributed to the partnership, pledging to continue pursuing reliability, operational excellence and sustainable growth in Nigeria’s energy sector.
