Lagos, Aug.  2026 – DataPro, Nigeria’s leading credit risk rating agency, says it is bringing a unique brain trust of global academics, policy experts and financial leaders to lead discussions at its 6th International Rating Webinar scheduled for Lagos on October 8, 2026.

The Webinar with the theme “Sovereign Credit Rating: Africa’s Roadmap to Investment Grade Status”, will be held from 14:00 to 16:00 WAT.

According to a statement by the company, the topic of the Keynote address will be: “Achieving Investment-Grade Rating by 2030: The Roadmap for Nigeria.”

“This is not just another webinar; it is a deep dive into the structural reforms, debt sustainability strategies, and economic policies needed to elevate African nations in global capital markets,.” the company said.

DataPro said the lineup of the renowned global experts and industry leaders to guide conversation at the seminar will include:

Dr. Misheck Mutize, Lead Expert, Credit Rating Agencies, African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).

Dr. Mutize is an instrumental figure in shaping the African agenda on domestic markets and global capital positioning. As a leading voice at the African Union organ APRM, he is spearheading the establishment of the Africa Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA). His extensive policy expertise covers debt sustainability, sovereign risk, and global financial reform.

Dr. Daniel Cash, Founder, Credit Rating Research Initiative An Associate Professor at Aston University and a Senior Fellow at the UN University’s Centre for Policy Research

Dr. Cash is a leading academic voice on the credit rating industry. A former Fulbright Scholar, he brings unparalleled depth to the discussion as the author of nine books dedicated entirely to the credit rating sector.
