Osun Election: Adeleke Shocks APC At Oyinlola, Omisore’s Polling
The Accord Party has delivered a stunning blow to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the polling units of two prominent APC supporters, former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and former Deputy Governor Iyiola Omisore.
The upset came just days after both political heavyweights publicly endorsed APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji ahead of the Osun governorship election.
At Oyinlola’s polling unit in Court Hall I, Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, Accord emerged the clear winner with 125 votes, according to the result sheet uploaded by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on its IReV portal.
The APC, despite Oyinlola’s backing of its candidate, managed 85 votes, finishing 40 votes behind Accord.
