Gunmen abduct 2 IBEDC staff in Ogun

Gunmen have abducted two staff of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company in Ogun State, the company said Monday.

IBEDC said the workers were kidnapped on Wednesday, and it is working with security agencies to secure their release.

“We are deeply concerned. Our thoughts are with our colleagues and their families at this difficult time,” the company said in a statement.

IBEDC said it is in “active engagement” with the families and providing support. It declined to give details, citing the sensitive nature of the incident and ongoing rescue efforts.

“We kindly request understanding and restraint as we prioritize the safety and well-being of those involved. We will provide updates as appropriate,” the statement added.
