NDPHC to power Odukpani oil, gas park with 10MW supply
The Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC), says it would supply dedicated electricity to the Nigerian oil and gas park in Odukpani through a partnership with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
According to a statement issued on Sunday by Mr Emmanuel Ojor, Head of Corporate Communications and External Relationsof NDPHC, said the collaboration began with an expression of Interest in 2025.
Ojor said the project has now reached an advanced stage following a key meeting on February 25, 2026.
According to him, Under the agreement, NDPHC will deliver 10 megawatts (MW) of power from its Calabar Generation Company Limited, ensuring a stable and reliable energy supply for industrial activities within the park.
“The Odukpani oil and gas park is designed as a major industrial hub to support downstream operations, including the production.
” Also the processing, and distribution of petroleum and gas-based products, as well as local manufacturing of industry components.
He said that stakeholders acknowledged that the project will boost local content development, reduce reliance on imports, and increase value addition across the oil and gas sector.
Ojor said that it is also expected to create jobs, support small and medium enterprises, and drive economic growth in Cross River State and beyond, while contributing to Nigeria’s broader industrialisation and energy goals.
He said that the NDPHC-NCDMB partnership is projected to become a model for integrated power and industrial development nationwide.
