El-Rufai’s loses mum
Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, is dead.
Her grandson announced the bereavement in a Facebook post on Friday afternoon, confirming that she died earlier this day 27 March 2026.
In a tribute reflecting her grandson wrote: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. From Allah SWT we came and to Him we shall all return. I would like to inform the public of the demise of my Grandmother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who passed away a few hours ago.”
He described her as the biological mother of the former governor and expressed the family’s gratitude for the life she led, requesting public prayers for the repose of her soul.
