Lagos, Oct. 2026 (TBL Africa) Afri Invoice has introduced a tiered subscription system to help Nigerian businesses adopt electronic invoicing and prepare for digital tax administration.

The company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mark Odenore, announced the initiative in a statement on Wednesday.

Odenore said the offering was designed to meet the needs of businesses ranging from individual operators and startups to larger companies.

He said the initiative came as the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) expanded the use of electronic invoicing as part of efforts to modernise tax administration.

He said  that the NRS framework enables businesses to generate and submit electronic invoices for validation by the Service.

“It also provides for unique invoice identification, transaction reporting and electronic storage of invoice records.

Odenore said businesses needed stronger systems to manage financial information as tax processes increasingly moved online.

“The transition to digital tax administration requires businesses to also strengthen the way they create, manage and retain transaction records,” he said.

He said Afri Invoice was focused on making the transition easier for businesses with different levels of digital capacity.

“Our focus is to make that transition more accessible by providing businesses with practical digital invoicing and financial management tools suited to their different stages of growth,” Odenore said.

He said the subscription structure comprised four categories: Beginners, Starter, Standard and Premium Corporate.

According to him, the packages ranged from basic invoicing services for freelancers, startups and emerging businesses to advanced functions for larger organisations.

He said the higher-tier packages offered greater invoicing capacity, tax monitoring, client management, payment tracking and reporting functions.

Odenore said the Premium Corporate plan was designed for organisations with multiple users, operations and business entities.

He said the initiative could particularly assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing the growing need to digitise their financial processes.

Odenore said businesses should view electronic invoicing as more than a replacement for paper-based billing.

According to him, digital systems could help businesses maintain better records, monitor payments and improve visibility of transactions.

He said the initiative was also consistent with Nigeria’s wider shift towards technology-driven tax administration.

Odenore noted that the Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025, which took effect on Jan. 1, 2026, lists the facilitation of taxpayer compliance among the objectives of tax administration.

He urged businesses to strengthen their invoicing, record-keeping and payment systems as the regulatory environment evolved.

Odenore said Afri Invoice would continue to develop digital solutions to support businesses adapting to Nigeria’s changing tax and commercial environment.
